Losing Rosy Barbs |

Hi all,
I have a new tank up and running. It is a very standard size (I think 60L??), has lots of plants in it and I left it about a week before putting any fish in. I then put in a 4 white clouds and 5 rosy barbs, all young and little. Ammonia and pH are fine, although of course as its newish ammonia goes up, but water changes are keeping it in check. 2 rosy barbs have died, and now one of them has markings on it that look for all the world like internal bleeding. i have been looking up aquascaping and want to give it a go 
i notice that a lot of them have a really nice grass like thing...
can anyone tell me what this is?????
And where to get it?????

hey every1, i just purchesed my FIRST fish tank (2 foot) and a murray cod fingleing, he is only about 4cm but going well. I know i will have to upgrade my tank in a while, water is not heated, just room temp. I live on the macquarie river in dubbo, so atm i have access to yabbies and shrip. i am a rookie and looking for as much advice as i can get.
a few questions:
How long will he take to get upto about 10-15cm?

I have discovered a 2-3 inch long mantis hiding in a cave in my fish tank (I can see it through the glass).
Will this hurt the other things in my tank?
how do I catch it?
Why am I finding millions of types or organisms in my tank, the LFS said the LR was cured!

I have been googling this morning to determine what it is that came on the branch from my LFS. Among the large number of Zoanthid polyps that were on the branch, there are two small what I have identified as Aiptasia's.
1. Can anybody help me get rid of these?
I used to have a bristle worm problem, then i bought my puffer who ate them all. Whilst cleaning I saw a number of tiny worms that looked like larvae even sucked one up with the enlarger looking thing.

Hi all,i have grabbed some pics from SEQASF threads on our club outings that we have had so far,three saltwater and two freshwater.
These are just a fraction of the info on our trips,but its enough to get the gist of one of our activities with in the club which is collectin trips/picnic trips.
There have been 5 trips i think so far this month gone.
There was only room for 4 pics so there is wording with out pics to make the thread fit.
