Hi Everyone,
My name is Christine. I posted on this forum ages ago, in the introduction thread, and received some great advice for setting up my small tank.
I have had a 75litre tank that I successfully set up with Rummy Nose Tetras (9), Cardinal Tetras (9), Congo Tetras ....at least that is what I think they are (3) and one lone pleco, named 'Spook'.

Hey guys!
Haven't been on here in a loooong time.
Anyway, my old tank recently cracked which made a big mess, I have no idea how it happened, came home and half the water from the tank was on the floor, not cool.
So I scored a 4'x1' tank, stand and filter off my mate for $50, pretty good deal I think. Anyway I really want a hood for it, and I've taken all the measurements and purchased some wood from Bunnings which came to $48. I just have a couple of questions... [Read More]

hey guys im looking for some work in redcliffe/deceptionbay/burpengary area
im 22 years old
have experiance in. 2 years as apprentice mechenic/working in factory's/cnc machines for 6 months/assembleing axles for trailers/labouring/aquariums have 3 at home
im willing to give anything a try and follow instructions

hey guys i just dumped out all my river rocks and bullsh!t got bored of the look
so i went on a little journey to bunnings and picked up 40kg of play sand
and dropped it in my tank well 20kg of it anyways in this tank
was only a $9 dollers per 20kg i should have went sand in teh 1st place its cheaper then rocks lol
i will be posting pic's after it settles to bottom of tank i still got the fun of removeing all my rocks and so on from my otehr 4ft... [Read More]

First of all, sorry about the rhyme...
On topic, I have heard a lot about the ADA range of souls and substrates, and the results they give.
I am in the process of ordering all the hardware for my new tank, and I need to make up my mind regarding the substrate...
I have worked out that i will need roughly 200L of substrate, and the ADA is going to cost one hell of a sum of money to use...

well, one problem im having is knowing when there are lil bn's swimming around prior to cleaning out the tank.
Also, feeding seems to be an issue. Of course when i chuck in anything for the BN's the goldfish pounce. this includes algae chips, zucchini, etc. i have even attempted hiding food specifically for them in nooks and crannys but i have a range of sizes in the goldfish as they had kids not to long ago...
