im a new dad!!!!

hey guys

well im a new dad i my yellow guppy dropped today and gave me my first ever batch of fry i count 5 to 10 but could be more

now i know they are a very easy fish to breed but you have got to start somewhere and im just so exited an proud

anyway any tips for feeding and houseing and the such would be great as im new to this.

also i am aware that the females can carry sperm for a long period of time and to keep them pure the males and females should be seperated i was just wondering when exactly that is i know its about 4 weeks but want to be sure

Congratulations, they may be easy to breed but it still gives you the joy and feeling of accomplishment so don't down play it mate!
I just feed my guppy fry finely ground flake and have never had an issue with it, they say the parents eat some of the young but i found that if they did it wasn't many because b4 long the tank was over run with babies so i never worried about separating them.

Baby guppies are quite resilient and tend to find food in the tank.
But you could try liquid fry or frozen atemia(newly hatched brine).

Don't worry before long you'll be taking them down to the LFS by the bag full.

yeah i know they joy is still there and im really proud

i think ill stick with the flakes and maybe get some treats down the track

i dont think ill need to seperate them but well see how it goes
