G'day,

On saturday morning i bought a breeding colony of corydorus sterbai, 16 in all though i'm not sure of the sex ratio yet.
The guy that i bought them of has hundreds of fry from them and the fry looked really healthy too.

Anyways i'm going to have a crack at breeding them.

This will be my first try at breeding fish.

I've got them in a 2ft holding tank at the moment but i'm getting a 3ft ready for them.
It will be fully planted but sofar i've only planted some hairgrass in the forground.
Also i have to get a bigger light.

Their tank sofar......

Any tips for keeping and breeding cory's are most welcome :) .

The tank has had another change.

Ive decided to go all out with the plants in this tank.
All i need is some of that Micranthemum Micranthemoides to fill in the gaps.
I just can't find that dam stuff!

T5 lighting refers to the tubes them selves, standard fluro lighting has T8 tubes and the new systems have T5 tubes, the difference being that T5 tubes are smaller and so you can fit more tubes in the same space as the old ones meaning more light all round.

atleast this is what I have gathered, anyone else with more knowledge than me feel free to add/correct.
