Hey mate, the way I usually do mine is to get the syphon going through the unit until water enters your return tube, clamp the tap off and connect it up, then open it up and switch her on. If you get a pocket in the impeller, just roll the unit around in a circular motion while she's still upright, and that usually purges them pretty well. Any left over pockets usually purge themselves within about an hour. If you're getting more after that, you might want to check all your lines and connections, o-rings ect, to make sure you have no leaks. Hope that helps ;)

use powerhead with hose connect to the inlet tube, run until the water pass the inlet tap and u can turn off the powerhead, the water automatic fill up the canister. wait until it up to the outlet pipe or hose then u can turn canister power on. if there is air in the canister, give it a shake around gentle until u cant hear the noise then it done. tat wat i do for my 2215 canister.
