G'Day Everyone,

I just found a cool site today - they sell all sorts of LED bits and pieces. Do you reckon this unit would be good for a moon lighting effect in a 4 foot tank?

looks similar to the LEDs that I've seen elsewhere. Do they come with the transformer from 240- 12v?

Here is another link worth looking at, I have used 4 of the moontubes and the Lunar cycle computer controller and was very impressed. I would still be using them if I had not changed to a Profilux Computer Controller.

The link I posted was just for the 12v lighting strips - no transformer. I noticed that there are some sellers on ebay who can provide the whole lot, but I reckon it would be cheaper to buy the strips direct, and get a transformer from Jaycar.

Very nice - I like the controller. Is 468nm light something special, or is just blue?

They are a high intensity Blue LED and from memory they are also wide angle giving better spread of the blue moonlight. Very effective with a nice shimmer through the water also and really highlight the fluorescent colour's of your corals.
I am sure there are more details specified on the web site with regards to the nm of the LED lights.
The controller is also very easy to use and does the full lunar cycle and the best part is not too expensive.

Cheers
Tony.
