Hey everyone im cycling a new small tank and its got a really bad smell to it. is this normal?

are you "Feeding" the tank with fish food?
in my experience smellt tanks meen over feeding when there are fish in it!

well its a tank for yabbies, so i threw my 2 yabbies in there and they are still alive so i thought the tank was just cycling. they have been in there for over a week now and yes i have been feeding them fish food but i havnt been over feeding. Its not really concerning me because the yabbies are still alive, i have another 2ft tank and when i first started that it didnt have a bad smell like this one.
