Actually i bought 3 lol
didn't think i would ever get goldfish again, but when i was delivering some reptile enclosures to a store i supply i noticed 3 really nice fan tails in the feeder fish tank and had to save them, well i saved 2 the third has passed on, yes i can even kill goldfish it seems!!!!
so now i have a goldfish bowl in my office as well as the 2 foot and 4 foot tank, i think the office is slowly becoming my fish room!!
maybe i should move the other three tanks in there as well!!!!

So anyway , they are in a small fish bowl, just the 2 of them now, is a weekly water change enough? there is obviously no filtration or aeration in there, i am being very careful with the amount of food they get so i don't foul the water , but thought maybe i should be doing more regular water changes???????
any advice please

I think you will be fine with weekly water changes - but to make them happier, if possible I would get an air stone.
How big are they, and how big is their bowl?
good luck with them
cheers

they are about 4 Cm fantails of some description! bowl is about 25Cm. i had an air stone in there but it was kinda ugly and noisier than the big air pump i have

1/2 water change once a week mate, and don't rinse the gravel out too often. They should be fine once they build up thier tollerance to ammonia :p

Nothing wrong with a bit of diversity.

I killed one of my two guppies the other day and am blaming the bloody heat for it dam it!!!http://www.thefishtank.com.au/forums/images/icons/icon11.gif

lol, which is why I reckon the only suitable thing for bowls is soup :p
Try doing a half water change with water from your Transcriptus tank mate. The added salt and higher pH should keep him happy.
