Just wondering if you can keep cichlids with bass? I have 2 cichlids one is about 150mm long & the other is about 70-80mm long, I'm a keen fisherman & target bass alot & have caught a few small ones (120-200mm) which I thought would be awesome in the tank. Would it be possible or would they just smash one another?
Any help would be great :)

how big is your tank, and what kind of cichlids are they?

The tank is 900mm long x 500mm high x 400mm wide. Not sure what type they are? I have a few pics in my profile you can check out

your jag will rip on the bass.
even if you got a fully grown one.

Can you tell me what kind of fish they are? I inherited them from the inlaws. Also if I can't have a bass in there what would be suitable? ( it looks a bit bare in there atm with only 2 fish)

you're larger cichlid is a jaguar cichlid
you're smaller one with barred patterns is a convict cichlid
taking into consideration th fact that you're cichlids are a nice size, and the fact that you are planning to catch natives to put in the tank.
theres almost nothing you can mix thats a native.
Three things could happen.
Your cichlids could kill your native.
your natives could absolutely rip on your cichlids.
and your natives will probably never feed on pellets.

best thing to do is to find either a large native in the aquarium trade.
or to just stick with cichlids.
