fighting fish water question

Hi, i am getting a bit tired of trying to guess how much water conditioner i should put in my fighting fish tank so i was wondering would it be a better idea to boil some water, wait until it cools down and use that instead of water conditioner. Thank you.

If you don't have copper piping, you just just fill a bucket and sit it in the sun for a couple of hours. Conditioners invariably contain EDTA which also removes heavy metals, which may be your only issue.

Unless your water is really bad just having aged water should be enough.
