I have just purchased some more Banana Lilly, i seem to have trouble keeping this plant for some reason even though i am told it is fairly easy to keep,:( my question is, do you plant the banana Lilly in the substrate, and if you do how much of it?
Or is it the kind of plant that just lays on the surface of the substrate?
Any input will be appreciated

As long as it's anchored in something, the fine roots will grab hold and it will take off. Like all lillies though, it prefers a rich, deep substrate. You could try potting it up mate ;)
