hi i have set up a water chang tank and when i dont have oxegen eg are ston in the tank water terns in to phosphate
and the tank with fish
and with KH water terns in to phosphate

so where does phosphate come from?

I think it may of been comeing from my bucket
and phosphate is in kh

Depends which brand of buffer you are using. A carbonate hardness (KH) buffer should only contain sodium or potassium carbonate, whereas something labelled simply "buffer" may indeed be a phosphate buffer. Then depending on which test kit you are using, this may or may not show up as contributing to your alkalinity. It can be a confusing matter if you take everything into account.
