My Front's Are Breeding!

Well I'm very happy to say that the colony I bought only less than 2 weeks ago have settled into their 6ft tank and I already have one female now holding.

There is another that has also started showing her egg tubes now also, and I expect she'll be holding within a couple of days now too.

I'm on dialup at the moment so can't upload pictures, but as soon as I am back on broadband I'll get some happy snaps of the mums-to-be :)

Unfortunately she didn't hold full term (just too young still I think). Before she could swallow / spit all her eggs I decided to strip her of about 5 eggs. 4 of them went white overnight in the DIY tumbler, but one has now hatched and just about free swimming. I think I will keep that one and grow it up as a bit of a pet fish :) My first frontosa:) Oh how sentimental :)

I am not sure if its the weather, but my Fronnies are on to it at the moment, I stripped 3 females last night and after an hour another female is spawning again. Last week I watch 2 females spawned with my alpha one after the other. I have 7 females in the colony. Have you guys noticed the same thing with your fish?
