AquarWorld Tank

Hi,

I have just purchased a aquarworld MT30D fish tank, used for gold fish. But it has twin fans in the lid to keep it cool. These fans make quite a humming noise that is quite off putting. Does anyone know if it would hurt if I were to disconnect the fans and just ran the 18w lights without them ?

Is there ventilation above the lights? If so, I don't see why it would cause a problem. If there isn't, and the fans are designed to draw heat from the lights, you may have a problem though.

i have an aquar world those fans are damn noisy! i pulled them out by unscrewing the lid and pulling them out of the socket thingy so much more quiet they dont do much to begin with
