hello all,
just wondering if there was a variety of food you can feed discus fry apart from BBS?
i have my first breeding pair that are a week old and in one afternoon i have lost half my fry..... dont no if its a coincedence but it was about the sanme time i first introduced the BBS...

Did the fry look like they were not doing well or did they just dissapear?
When you have discus fry I would suggest having a small (dim)night light on above the tank so the fry and parents can keep visual contact 24/7,rather than have them scatttered around the tank overnight.
It may help.

yeah i had a low ligth lamp on 24/7 so fry could find parents.
all fry are now gone. they were floating on the top, i no u learn by your mistakes but i wasnt real happy.
i had a nitrite spike which did the damage. this happened in the space of one afternoon.. the parents are now back in there community tank until i sort out the problem..

I thought that perhaps the fry were eaten by the parents which is very common.
But chemistry issues are something that need to be fixed.
