Hi, I'm currently dealing with a Red Fin Shark or also known as a Rainbow Shark, having a bad dose of White Spot, it looks like he's been rolled in coconut & I'm really quite scared as the White Spot came on very quickly. He literally was fine one night, no signs of white, & the next night he was riddled with it.

I immediately started treatment in the tank, though have lost my 2 Lemon Tetras due to the medicine. I have since done a water change & cleaned the tank ornaments; though have yet to clean the gravel as I didn't want to stress the fish out too much.

As the White Spot is quote severe, as in, all over his body, in his gills & his fins, including tail look like their bubbling, should I look to euthanizing the Fish or do you think he may have a chance of survival??
My 3 Silver Sharks are yet to have been infected severely, or at all, though if I take the Host Fish from the Tank, this may also help with their survival or contracting the disease.

Please let me know ASAP if you can as to what I should do!

Raise your temp to 30degC immediately.
Then treat with whitespot cure.

No point in removing any fish at this stage, just treat them all.

Hey ya, Thanks for the reply :)
I have already raised the Temperature to 28 Degrees & i have already given him Multi Cure, that has the Green & the Blue Meth... whatever that chemical word is, so the water is all green... for the past 24 hrs or so.

So, should i just see how it all pans out or get rid of him do you think?

Be patient and don't be afraid of 30deg.
