Hi,
My name is Gary (Gaz) & I am new to this site.
I have been keeping fish of different species for around 10 years now.
Tonight, I was doing a water change & I noticed these little things.
I have recently bought some Emperor Gudgeons from an aquarium & these have appeared shortly after.
I was wondering if anyone knew what they are?
I have magnified them approx 100 times, they are moving aroound of their own accoard (alive)
Thanks, Gaz

G'day Gaz,
personally I have no idea, but I've got a gut feeling they are flukes or maybe even lice. I recommend you jump onto the net and google images and type in 'fish flukes' or 'fish lice' and have a browse through some of the pictures that come up, other than that, I'm sure someone on this site will help out shortly.
Good luck!
Uri

seems like some kind of lice to me...maybe get some permanganate and dip the fish in it?

It turns out that they are a freshwater Limpid, not quite sure on the spelling.
Harmless to fish, with the exception of their spawn attaching to gill rakes & causing a few issues.
Increased salts levels in the water has all but cured the problem to date.
Thanks, Gaz
