Hi all,

after my recent loss of 3 silver perch, the last 2 appeared to be quite healthy.
since then i have put a small barra in with them.
yesterday i changed the water in their tank, and this morning i get up to fine one perch upside down, at the bottom, with very red fins.
the barra not swimming around as per usual, occiasionaly upside down, and appears to have his dorsal fins half missing and his dark grey colour peeling away... (or nibbled away)

the last perch appears to be good as gold. i did notice him picking at the barra once too...
below are some pictures.
i really want to know if i should just put down the 2 beat up fish or try bring them back to life....
i immediately did another large water change this morning just incase something in the water irritated them.
i have been monitoring water conditions regularly due to the loss of the other 3 fish, and nothing drastic to report.

set up another tank heat up the water to about 28 degrees and chuck in some Melafix.
dont feed them for a day or two untill their starving and feed them some live foods.
see what that does.

oh and put some salt in the hospital tank.
probably about a teaspoon to every five litres.
