tank is not going to plan

i have set up a tank with sand and plants no fish as yet my my plants dont look healthy and the ammonia level has started to rise i need advice please

The ammonia levels are rising with no fish? Do you have any way of checking your nitrate and nitrite levels? I'm assuming the sand is new??

how long ago did u set up the tank?
