I've had a Cobalt blue dwarf gourami in an aquastart 320 for almost two years. His other companions are a neon tetra(I should get more) and a gold mystery snail. The ph is around 7.0, temp. more than 22 degrees(most of the time 24-26), but now it is about 28-32. Water is changed 25% weekly. Only the gourami's right eye is popping and bigger than the other, so it might be from an injury but I'm not sure. Other than that, it seems to be in good condition and is eating well. What should I do? I've treated the tank with Seachem Prime(which is also used for water changes, and the petshop says it can be used for illness). I also have Aristopet multicure but it doesn't say anything about curing popeye and I'm not sure if it is harmful for the snail. I'm going again to the petshop today to see what I can find.

From memory popeye is caused by a bacterial infection behind the eye.
Most meds do little if anything.
But try an anti bacterial of sorts.

ok, I've done a 10% water change daily for 5 days now and added in melafix and salt. The eye seems to be normal now and the same size as the other. Will continue water changes and melafix for 2 more days just in case.
