I was in a pool supplies shop last week looking for zeolite.
Anyway, while there i decided to see what kind of sand they have as I need to top my DIY substrate with sand or gravel. I can across "plastic sand" which is colored red.
I'm quite interested in using it since the DIY subtrate is reddish. If ever I need to pull plants and disturb the soil underneath the sand, it will still look neat since their colors are close to each other. If I use white sand, the mess I made will be very noticeable.
So have you used plastic sand? Is it course or fine? It looks from looking at the bag but looks could be deceiving.
