One of my bristlenose pair recently had about 30 babies and all was good and might still be but I'm a little concerned.
At the start i could see all of them, now i only see a few, there doesn't seem to be any dead ones about , and the only other tank inhabitants are more bristles and a few guppies, so I'm assuming they haven't been eaten. I always have a large piece of zucchini in the tank for food , but I never see the babies on it, just the larger fish.
Should i be putting multiple pieces of food in the tank so the babies get a chance to feed or would they be eating at night when its dark and hiding on the wood and plant where i cant see them?
any thoughts?

i just feed my baby bristles the same food as the parents, they are pretty good at hiding them but i usually take them out of the tank into a small one on there own. maybe chuck in a few extra small bits of food at night so they get a chance. but im sure if they are there they will be eating something in the tank.

i have had the same problem with my brisstlenose. i have 5 albonos that i had my babys and dad in a tank with and there were about 20 babys but when i relocated them there is now only about 6 so i suspect the albinos have eaten the rest??
