Hi guys. I'm a newbie to the wonderful world of marine/reef tanks. I have my tank set up and going through it's cycles.
I'm guessing i'll have to wait a few weeks after set up to get some fish in there.
I have my live rock in there. LFS told me it would be pretty safe to do before the cycle finishes.
I'm just wondering what kind of protein skimmers are best suited for the tank??? It's 60 inches/230L. Which i think is about 4ft maybe  I'm not good with those sort of conversions LOL!
Thanks in advance!

All depends on your budget.
Protien skimmers range from $50 to a few thouands.
Do you have a sump? What filter you got?
There are hang on skimmers if you dont have a sump.
Let us know what budget you have so we can advice

1 inch= 2.5 cm
1 foot= 30 cm
1 foot= 12 inches
It's 5ft long. Hope that helps! Plus, what is the width?

If you have liverocks in there, then you definately need protein skimmer! It is neccessary very important product to keep you going! otherwise your tank will smell and nitrate will go up very high!
As Lucifer said "Depends on your Budget" you can buy cheap JEBO protein skimmer for under $100.00 or buy reefoctopus for around $250.00 - $400.00 those ones are hang on type!
If you can go with Sump then its even better!
your tank should be fully cycled when you see brown stuff covering the glass! Buy 3 - 5 astrea snails to keep that brown diatom down! and then put pair of clownfish to start with! Depends on how many fish you want or How manay corals your going to keep in that tank....
If your going to keep many corals, then put few fish in... if your going to keep many fish then i wont wory about corals..., eitherway! Make sure you put strong protein skimmer!
