I bought a bolbitis today at local aquarium store...
It was in display tank and was getting enough light though was very light transparent and some of the rhizome was rotten... so it wasn't doing well at all... So i got discount hehehe...

Anyways, I was wondering what are the requirement to keep the bolbitis healthy for long run... i want to grow them!!

they can be slow growing and take some care, they prefer to grow above the water surface so it will take patience.

i guess you need a aquarium led light, more info could be found at www.ledgrowlights-aquarium.com.au

- -" Well, Bolbitis is a type of ferns. You wouldn't need to use too much light on this.
Normally, I use PL or T5 tube for this type of plants. And of course, it's a slow grow fern.

Liter/Watt = 1.2-1.5 is enough

Plus, it loves cold water 22-25C
Plus, fertilizer for ferns should be added every week, or at least week after week.
