Regular water changes, clean filters. Don't overstock your tank with more than it can handle.

I put in additives like stress zyme and prime when I do water changes. The live rock helps to break down the nitrates.

But if you have too much fish waste from too many fish it might spike?

Above advice are great. Follow them. Also over feeding the fish will make your nitrate high.

I don't put anything in my water when I do water change. There is no need to.

How big is your tank? How much live rock have you got? Live rocks are filtrations as well. Do you use a protien skimmer?

I keep macro aglea to keep my nitrate low. I have them in my sump with lights and they do a great job. If you don't have a sump I would get those bathroom trays you put your toothbush and toothpaste in. Put the try into your tank using the sucktion caps to stick on your glass (make sure the top is out of the water). Put the aglea in there and let them grow and abosorbe the nitrate.

If you want to try some, send me a PM and I will send you up a golfball size to start off. Just pay for the express post bags.

Get rid of the sponge and ceramisud... They just produce nitrate.

PM me if you want to try out the macros.

Don't bother with a canister

If you can get some life rock rubble.

If not then just use the sponge, but clean it out every 2 -3 days with tank water...

The build up of uneated food in the sponge cause headachs. If you clean them every 2-3 days, they wont have time to become nirate.

u dont put anything in your water ? how do u remove the chlorene and so on not so much the chlorene becuase that go's away after 24hrs but chloromene wont ........

u should also use prime cuase it provides stress coats and lowers your nitrate's and so on
