Platies, they are flamin easy to breed!
Heck they're gunna breed weather you want them to or not :p .

That tank is small, i don't know if its too small but i'd only start with a few fish, and some java moss for the fry to feed off.

Yeah I only plan to use it as a breeding tank. Would six be to much / not enough / just right for a breeding colony? also is there a way you can tell male apart from female?

I this the females have a normal looking anal fin and the males have a tube looking piece( :p ) instead.
