Hi,

Over the last 6 months or so I've been setting up my first marine tank. (Loving it by the way)

Finally after being sure everything is good, having plenty of live rock, coral and lots of little critters running around, about a week ago I introduced a pair of junior captivity bred clownfish to my tank.

My concern is they don't seem to be exploring the tank. They spend pretty well all their time right at the front swimming into the glass.
They look healthy, they eat when fed and seem to play around lots by chasing each other around, but they live in only a very small section of the tank and don't use the rocks to hide or swim around etc.. they just swim along and into the glass right at the front of the tank...
Is this normal?
Or am I just being an over protective parent?

Thanks for any replies!

Jon

Jon,

Give them time to settle in their new home. This may take weeks.

My clown took a month to settle in. Took them almost a year to start hosting my anemone.

Let us know how you go in a few more weeks.

yeah give them a time to settle in, as long as they swim and eat it;s all good.

i've had about 25 clowns in my store once and they gather together and made ball shape at the corner of the fish tank.... after while they seprated them selves from the ball grouping thing!

good luck
