Pantyhose?

Hey guys. im just wondering if its safe to use stockings/pantyhose on the inlet to my filter. at the moment i have a lot of java moss and every now and then a baby fish :( that will get sucked up into my filter and i was just wondering is it effective to use a stocking to block it so the plants wont get stuck in the impellor and the fish chopped to bits. and if so what colour stocking is best and how should i treat it so that its safe to use. thanks.

try sponge on the inlet

I use a stocking on mine with no problems at all, as for colour i guess its your Mrs choice! I didn't treat mine other than a good scrub in fresh water

I also use a sponge on another tank, this works well also and traps fine particles B4 they get into the canister filter
