Hi guys,

I have just purchased a 1000Litre tank. I should get it soon.

My thoughts are, i have a smaller tank now and as additives I use stress zyme and bio-trace (to give trace elements to the corals).

I assume I may need different chemicals for a larger system. I reeaallly want to speak to somebody who has a tank around the same size as my new one who could give me a list of checmicals I should buy.

Would a bottle of bio-trace at the correct dosage help?

Thanks guys, always a big help!

Hey Drew,

If you aren't already on the masa forums then do it now!! :D

It an aussie website purely for marine enthusiasts and they all love having big tanks, so your covered there.

And before you do anything read through the tank journal sub section its awesome.

Wish I was fiddling around with a marine tank, but nevertheless tropical for now.

Cheers

If your doing your 20% water change weekly, then you will not need to put anything into the tank.

I use to dose Kalk water before I got a CA reactor. Now I don't need to dose anything into the tank.

I won't be able to change 20% weekly it's a 1000 litre tank that would be 200 litres a week. I will be doing water changes every 3 weeks.

any advice given those circumstances? the tank is being delivered on Saturday, all the accessories have already arrived! Getting a guy out to deliver a tank load of sea water once it's all plumbed and I've got the sand.

Very excited!
