We have some Green Terror's breeding for the second time now. The first spawn we managed to lose all the fry through inexperience.
I'm interested, when breeding your fish, do you move your fry to a hatchery net inside the same tank or do you remove them to a seperate tank altogether?
This time we're going to wait until about a week after the fry are free swimming, then put the parents back in the community tank and let the fry grow out in the tank they're presently in.

You can remove the spawning substrate with eggs into another tank, then play mommy!

Hi mate you should really wait until the fry hatches then put them into a fry net and feed the some baby brineshrimp for the first couple of weeks.
Hope that helps mate:)

Yes but I've found that eggs are less susceptible to shock with change in any water chemistry, whereas fry are alot more fragile.BYW I always moved them into thir own growing tank, but this may/not be an option for you.
Just need a mature filter opertating in the new hatch tank with some light watermovement to duplicate the fanning motion by the parents over the eggs and perhaps some methylene blue to help keep fungus under control.Or you can remove them(fungused eggs)carefully with tweezers.
