Hello,

I am a commercial short finned eel (Anguilla australis) harvester and I am looking to branch into the aquarium trade. I am curious if people know if there is any sort of demand for this species and what sort of sizes might be most desirable.

Additionally I am curious as to whether there is any demand for anthropods for feed in salt water aquariums, I have found sites showing there use in other countries but no australian web sites indicating there use locally.

there is always a demand for anthropods, however unless you can guarantee a pest-free and infection free product, aquarists (especially saltwater) will always go for commercially available products.
