hey guys,
(Wombat do not read hahaha!)
ive noticed a small graze like thing on both sides of one of my danios... they are reddish in colour and i kind of look like a sore? one of my tetras had a similar thing not long back but not as bad and i just changed the water a few times and it healed up...ive isolated this one now but just in case, any suggestions?

Well even though I'm not supposed to read this i would suggest some melafix or a salt bath and make sure they are better before they get to my tank!

Has anyone heard of possible parasites eating their way out of a fish' gut and leaving a red sore?

well despite this having stumped most of us i can happily say i can cure it even though i dont exactly know what i am curing...
i isolated the fish affected in a hospital tank and set them up with good filtration and basically gave them a salt bath every day for around 10 mins for around 2 weeks...slowly but nicely they healed up and are left with a barely noticeable scar...
lets hope i have no more breakouts of this weird and wonderful disease!

Patience and persistence was the trick i think there Kat, I would hope that if i was a fish I was owned by someone like you, dedicated to healing instead of euthanizing!
