Hi there everyone, i am looking for ideas for my planted tropical tank. Can you please give me some names of some tall plants (ie over 30cm)? they need to be pretty dense if possible, and not shed leaves all the time, as ive had bad experiences with those feathery looking ones (they look nice, but eventually shed their leaves and die on me). all of the plants i already have are only short, so i need some taller ones to fill up the upper levels of the tank. You help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Some ideas of plants like Elodea, Giant Val(can't remember how large it actually grows..), Ambulia? These are kinda beginner plants as far as I know, I don't have a ton of experience with plants(besides a few of the falling apart ones you know of lol). Ambulia may not be a good idea I spose because it's leaves are thin and probly tare off or whatever. I once tried Wisteria(spelling?), but I didn't have a gro bulb on the tank so the growth rate was terrible.

I made a list of plants I like but most of them require high lighting :/

Red Tiger Lotus? I really like that one. I have some ambulia, it's always clogging up my filter intake, but I just siphon the stuff off on the water change. A large java fern? A large species of anubias? A floating plant, like water lettuce? Frogbit?

Just set it to low light if that's what you have and click search :)

ive always and still use giant val as background cover. the only problem you'd have is it's high lighting requirements, it's weakness to algae cover and "vegetarians" it's a very tasty plant for plecs and silver dollars
