Hey I was wondering if anyone has an an idea about this, this is a single fish with this problem(so far) and she has a problem with her scales, they seem to be pointing outward giving her a pearly look.
otherwise shes fine, eating , swimming around, life as usual.
i have separated her and no other fish are showing any signs as yet so i hope i got her out early enough

hey daz!
ive read that this can possibly be due to poor water conditions or poor food so i would suggest a 25% water change or upgrading their food, however seeing your tanks and their filtration systems i think this is unlikely! this is unfortunate, good luck!

 Im almost offended
Could it be associated to old age? she is a large guppy so i assume shes getting on in life!!

She didn't make it :( might have been the container i put her in or a coincidence but u get that with fish i guess!
i would still be interested in opinions on what she might have had.

Dropsy or bloat (pineconing scales is a classic sign), may well have been old age related, if it was age related
then any number of things could have eventually knocked her off, the dropsy was simply first on the scene.

Thanks Volenti, I was thinking the same thing .would bloat effect all the fish in the tank or is it fish specific? as i said all other fish look fine .

Nah it's fish specific, think of it as cancer for fish, often terminal, usually untreatable.

Pretty much spot on here with DROPSY (http://www.fishjunkies.com/Diseases/dropsy.php).
Though if caught early it can sometimes respond to an anti-bacterial treatment.
