Hi All
I recently got a new 55 litre aquarium i am running tropical freshwater and currently have not fish in it, but has plant life, wood etc. Was just wondering if it would be suitable size for say 5 small tetras and maybe 2 small angel fish or 2 fish in the similar size range. just really looking for something that looks natural and appealing to the eye :) cheers

I think angel fish need quite tall tanks because they can get pretty big. The tetras would be fine with anything as far as I know, it just depends on what will eat them lol. Something that's suited to small aquaria would be good. I have a couple of gourami's I recently bought and would like to breed but they're pretty shy. Possibly some livebearers maybe?

cheers :) do you now any suitable fish that are a bit bigger than tetras and will stay around that size ?
Do you think 2 gourami's would be ok ?

Gouramis can die really easily from parasitic infections - my friend had two, took great care of them, but they passed away within a month. I don't think anything larger than a fighting fish would be OK, and then only them because they have trouble swimming.
Def. not angel fish though, they'll probably decimate your tetras in such a small tank & it's too small for them anyway. Do you know about fishless cycling?
Mosquito rasboras, shrimp, umm... paradise fish? A pair of cichlids of some sort? Catfish? Check out the L numbers, some of them are pretty cool. Kuhli loaches?
