hi all,

i am currently trying to spawn a pair of kribs, but the female does not seem interested in the male. even though she is showing the red spot on her belly.

they are set up alone in a 50x30x40cm tank with live plant material, and cave structures.

pH and other water parameters are as recommended in books and websites.

does anyone have any tricks or ideas of how to get them to spawn ASAP??

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try feedind them live food on a regular basis (daily)then some regular large water changes(15-25% daily). This tricks them into thinking its a change of season.(rainy season).
This triggers (sometimes) their natural instinct to breed .

No probs,it's a general rule of thumb for most species.
