Aquarius plasticus and aqueous silkius come to mind, very low maintenance

but yea anubias and java moss do pretty well in low tech tanks, thin val I've had good experience with (growing wise) it will need an occasional trim now and then (every couple of months or so)

basically plants that are hardy and wont die without any special care and/or will grow nicely without any special care!

@ volenti: thanks for the suggestions i shall troop down to my lfs and have a look!

Java fern comes to mind. It will grow, planted, stuck on rocks/logs etc and will even grow simply floating around.

I've found Giant Val,Amazon Swords and Anubias very easy.
If your willing to make a trip I have some gardening to do,so I'll have some plants left over.
