Not sure about Matt, but I'm after 6 simply to ease with water changes ...
an un-named member of TFT has Lake Malawi water on tap straight out of the ground http://www.thefishtank.com.au/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gifhttp://www.thefishtank.com.au/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif lol

You could use 20lt plastic drums.Much easier to handle.

1200 odd litres / 20 litre drums is way too much logistics for my liking http://www.thefishtank.com.au/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
The 200 - 250 litre drums will be easy to manage for my application and can double as temporary holding tanks if the need arose.

Have you thought about rain water tanks??
No good for fish holding tanks buts great water storage.

Mate I got something planned for these Barrels/Drums so if anyone can get me some at a good price I am happy to pay for them or trade some fish for them
