hey mate i think ur oscar may have swim bladder that would explain the weird shaking and swimming on its side. however swim bladder is often caused by another deseas or factor the most common ones are these:
Congenitally deformed bladder (http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Congenital%20Abnormalities). <LI>Constipation (http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Constipation).
Poor nutrition. <LI>Chilling or rapid fluctuations in temperature. <LI>Serious parasitic infestation (http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Parasitic%20Diseases). <LI>Serious bacterial infestation (http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Bacterial%20Diseases)

here is a website i use that has more info
http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Parasitic%20Diseases (http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/information/Diseases.htm#Parasitic%20Diseases)

i hope it helps and the problem might be as simple as consipation
good luck
