My gouarmi has lost colour, weight and has a dent in its head. What is the best way to treat this? He seems to be eating and I just did a water change.

If he's eating but still loosing weight he's probably got worms, you can get tablets from the LFS that you dissolve in the water to treat this.
It may not have anything to do with the dent in his head but at least the worms are something you can address now.

Sounds like hole in the head desease.
Usually caused by internal parasites which in turn absorb all of the nutrients. The poor fish slowly starves.
Hexamita (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexamita)

But my guess would be internal worms.
goodluck :)
