Goldfish are opportunistic feeders, meaning that they will eat anything that's edible that fits in their mouths, and sometimes things that aren't edible.
Other than physically separating the goldfish from the snails or using snails that are too large for the goldfish to fit in their gobs there's not a lot you can do.

oh, so it would be best if i keep them in a separate tank until they grow big enough not to be swallowed, ok, um, also would feeder fish be safe around goldfish?

should be, depends how big your goldfish is! if hes eating snails then the likelihood that he'll try and eat small fish is possible but as i said depends how big it is and they are. if you have a tank where you could move them should this start happening then i guess theres no harm in trying!

Goldfish that are shaped like normal fish (comets ect) are quite capeable of chasing down feeder fish, especially with females bulking up to get into breeding condition, fancier varieties tend to be too slow to catch anything though.

I wouldn't suggest putting feeder fish in there if you were ever wanting to introduce any smaller fish to live in the tank. Doing so will associate new small fish in the tank as "DINNER TIME!" Learnt that one the hard way unfortunately!
