Killifish

How common are killifish here in Australia? I have a 20 litre tank that I was gonna put a betta in, but now I think I might use it for a couple of Nigerian killis instead.. Anyone know somewhere around Brisbane that sells them?

And pygmy gourami.. same question:)

I saw some killifish go through the QFAS fish auction the other week but had not before. I have seen them in one shop in the last year out of about 10. I'd say uncommon.

We import lots of them here, so there shouldn't be an issue getting them into the country. Only problem is that they can be a real pain to house when they turn on each other, and that could be why you don't see many of them in retail stores - easier to buy 2 or three tanks of guppies and make more money off them with less headaches.
