I love Autumn. I was buggerising around today when I noticed my green tiger lotus (Nymphoides lotus) is coming into flower. The Agonogetons have been flowering for about 6 weeks straight now, and are still producing new flower spikes. Anyone else got anything that looks like flowering in the near future?
Update:
I've recently learned that this means that both species will soon be entering their dormant periods, which means that I had best get to figuring out what to do with the tank when they die back! Rather than pull out the rootstock when they die back, I'm planning to let the other plants crowd in and fill the space until spring when the Aponogetons and Nymphoides should theoretically pop up again in earnest. Whether all this goes to plan or not is a bit of an experiment I guess. Hopefully I'll have some photos up early this week for anyone who's interested :)
