I've seen a couple of ads in magazines which snagged my attention, and I have to tell you guys, this thing looks amazing! For any of you who are into recreating nature, or just love your hi-tech gadgets, check this bad boy out:

The first gen ones went for around $3500 from what I've read. Not too bad when you consider that you'd pay that in some cases for a halide with a couple of extras. I'll be trying to get more info after the new ones are released, and whether there's a supplier here in Australia.

LOL, it barely has for UFO lighting, I doubt it would for this. Anyone play golf with a wholesaler by any chance? :P

Here we go, found a US mob who are currently taking orders for a shipment arriving in August

As suspected, 6' fittings are close to 4 grand. The previous models are, however, marked down. They haven't got the control computers the new system has though, and each bank of LED's has it's own plug, designed to run off a timer like conventional fluorescent lighting. Interesting - have a read.
