Ok new subject , Im about to buy more flake , i use it in conjunction with my colourbits, so the smaller fish get to eat!
what brand do you guys and gals use, if you use it at all?
im sure like all fish food the cheaper ones are less benificial to the health and wellbeing of the fish

i would have to say the best flake is the spectrum however its really expensive so i use nutrafin which is the next best it enhances colour and does all of that stuff and cost about $10 for 75gs
either of those two would be good depends on how much ur willing to spend
hope it helps

You could always make your own frozen stuff Dazz, it can be cheaper than flake. Firedragon's right though, Spectrum is by far the best on the market, especially for putting weight on your fish. I mostly use Tetra Flakes or Nutrafin Spirulina flakes, but that's mainly just because it's there to use. The Aquarium Society of Victoria make their own flakes, I wonder if I can find out how they do it? Can't be too hard...

LOL, I know what you mean mate. It just occurred to me though - maybe they don't make their own, it might just be re-packaged. I'll find out though, regardless ^^

There are quality tropical flakes (http://www.e-aquarium.com.au/buy/fish-food/tropical-flake) available in bulk quantities even if they are not branded. I have been feeding these to my fish and find them good value for money.

I tend not to buy food in bulk, as by the time you've used it all, most of the antioxidants are all gone from it.
