So, I have a 6' community tank with clown loaches, angel fish, sliver dollars and some rasporas - all are happy in there and I dont really want to make any changes
but I have a 2' tank that currently has a couple of mollys and some neon tetras. i would really really like to turn this tank into something else, I love the look of Fronts, or EY's but dont know if a 2' tank would be big enough for them...
any suggestions? I guess I would like something that is different and colourfull and looks great - all in a 2' tank..

am I asking too much?

Personally, I'd go for Apistogrammas or some other dwarf cichlid species. Awesome colour and behavior, all in one little fish :D

Type "Apistogramma" into google images and have a drool :p
A lot of them are really hard to find here in Australia unless you know a few people in the hobbyist circles, and can send word out that you're after something in particular. Other species like borellii's, cacatoides, and pandurini's are regularly available from larger aquariums. There are also your Microgeophagus species as well, which include your 'ram's' and butterfly's (I think - it's been a while :p). I've been looking forward to getting some 'checkerboard' dwarfs for a while now, but then again, everyone has a wish list don't they?

thanks... when I get around to deciding what I want I might just put in a "wanted" add in the classifieds for some Apistogramma - they sure are pretty...
