Hey everyone. I only just joined this forum and thanks for all the advice ive read so far.
I just recieved a free 15 gallon tank and am taking my time with setting it up so i do everything right, but im looking for ideas as for wat to put into it. Currently im playing with the idea of a school of cories and maybe dwarf gourami or 2.
Ive heard of most of the usual suspects for a tank that size, but i was wondering what would be the biggest fish i could put in a tank that size. Even if its just a solitary fish or something like that. Or what could be an unusual fish that i could put into the tank. Im just playing with ideas, any suggestions would be very welcome thankyou.:)

G'day chief, and welcome to TFT!
Rather than restrict a large fish in a tank like that, and since you've already been looking at dwarf gourami's, I'd go for something that suits both of your prerequisites. Chocolate Gourami's (Sphaerichthys osphromenoides), Sparkling Gourami's (Trichopsis pumilus or Ctenops pumilus), or Licorice Gourami's (Parosphromenus deissneri) are three dwarf species that are VERY underrated in the hobby. Get them on Spectrum Grow (New Life) formula, and they will look absolutely amazing ;)

yeah i didnt want to restrict a large fish in the tank because i know its small. But i was sorta just wondering whether there was some type of fish id overlooked because it doesnt need a big home or something like that. But that licorice gourami does look pretty amazing, ill have to look round the LFSs to see if they have any.
Anymore suggestions would be appreciated

sorry for somehow posting this thread twice, ignore the other one.
Im currently keeing guppies platies and a couple of small tetra species. plus a bristle nose and yoyo loach. Ive tried swordtails but they didnt seem to be as hardy or as active as the other livebearers. i love the catfish and loaches but theyre generally too large for this new tank or my other one of a similar size.
