Quick Reply vs Post Reply

I am relatively new to forums. I have searched the site for an explanation of the difference between the Quick Reply and Post Reply options. Can someone explain please?

Post reply has the options you will see if you hit "Go Advanced" underneath the Quck Reply dialogue box. I think....

Quick reply is just that you don't have to wait till it opens a reply page and you don't get any emoticons.Though if you then click "go advanced" it's like going straight to Post Reply anyhow...
