Hi all,

Sorry, I posted before introducing myself!? Too eager I guess.
I'm at Uni in Warrnambool on the west coast of Vic. I did an aquaculture degree originally but have now moved into the marine research area as a post grad (way cooler boats and more fishing opportunities ;)). I only have one fish (a Murray Cod) which was saved from the runt tank at the Uni's recirc facility about 5 years ago and has been keeping me busy with the yabby nets ever since. I'm thinking of starting a small tropical marine tank but I'm not sure I'm ready for the commitment yet, I'm hoping that you guys will inspire me to get started.

 cheers,

Alex.

As much as i have bagged livefish.com.au if you live in regional areas it would be a great thing, i did have trouble with deliveries but my fish were all alive and at a good price too. something to think about.

Hi Alex

Welcome to the Fishtank.

I have ordered fish from both Aquagreen and Livefish in the past and can report that the fish from Aquagreen always arrived promptly (following receiving advice they were being sent off) and with no fatalities. Fish sizes were very small though, but on the other hand they often add one or two freebies to the order (and the same with plants ordered from Aquagreen).

On the other hand, deliveries from Livefish always took for ever and poor or no communication re delivery dates. I do not recall any fatalities though.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
