hi guys,

(as you've probably noticed) i have a few problems with my tank - basically because i introduced two of my sisters goldfish who i now realised werent 100%. every since then ive continually and steadily lost fish over a 9 month period. im now left with one of my sisters goldfish, a catfish and 5 little guys- which i have noticed they seem to have what i thought was a little bit of fin rot- just a white fringe round their fins, but now it looks green? almost looks like strings of algae coming off their fins...would anyone know what it is- is it just a form of fin rot?

(the moral of the story-never take fish from your sister!)

Hi Kat,

Any chance you could take a pic of the fish and its fins? it would help in figureing it out.

my moral would be don't keep goldfish (dirty little things), keep tropicals. but each to there own eh.
