Hi, i joined thefishtank a couple of days ago and began reading/researching all of the threads (which are all very interesting) and though i would introduce myself.
I first got into keeping an aquarium when a family friend offloaded a 2t tank into my care a year or so ago, it was in bad condition but after a couple of weeks i had it looking good. I was doing as little work on the tank as i could for a period of time but once again I want to get right back into it and even get an additional 4ft tank somewhere in the future.
I have about 8 fish -
1 Bulgarian ram i think
1 red horse face cichlid i think i will post up some pictures that may help identify
1 sword tail
1 guppy
1 platy
1 cory
2 bristle nose catfish (1 3.5" with big bristles thinking male, 1 2" with minimal to no bristles hoping female) wouldn't mind trying to get a friendly breeding environment :)
I quite like cichlids (I would want to have a dedicated tank to them although I'm unsure as to go African or south American but i do like Oscars and how they can grow quite big) and catfish ( mainly the bristle nose).
So that's me and hopefully we can get to know each other better as fellow enthusiasts.
